Recently Rodenhiser came to my home for a bathroom leak. The problem was a pinhole in the Bathtub drainpipe which caused a leak into the basement. Rodenhiser took the piping apart and indicated that a full Bathtub replacement was necessary at a cost of $3000.00 because a defective Bathtub connection could not be fixed. The Rodenhiser representative left the situation worst than it was originally, failed to put it back together and promised to send a written estimate detailing the required replacement work. (A written estimate never came.)
The next day I called another plumber. This plumber said that it would cost $500.00 to fix the problem. He did the work in under two hours.

Two years earlier, Rodenhiser said that fixing a defective shower's hot and cold-water control was very involved work because the hot and cold-setup in the basement was complex. They recommended a fix at $3500.00. Sometime afterwards, another plumber came and solved the problem by replacing the hot and cold fixture in about one hour - at minimum cost.
Note! The recent call for the bathtub leak went to Rodenhiser because of their discount coupons. The earlier year incident did not register and was thought of as a fluke, not as a Rodenhiser's standard operating practice.
Cost to destroying my bathroom and leaving it undone was $157.00
This is currently a complaint at the Better Business Bureau (Natick, MA) as case #102710.
