Yet another MCI Wworldcom wireless hack ripoff

This is a story told all too many times, yet, truth be told, this drum should not stop beating until the farce that is MCI admits it's in the wrong and sticks to what it initially promises. I too, was an MCI worldcom customer. I signed up for a deal that sounded too good to be true at the time. The deal was 500 minutes with free long distance and for an extra ten bucks you get unlimited nights and weekens with 250 bonus minutes. That is 750 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends and free long distance for 60 bucks. Where does one find a deal like that? The old adage holds, unfortunately. If something sounds too good to be true, it most like is.

I first realized that this company was not all too scrupulous on my first bill. There was an exhorbitant charge for night and weekend minutes. I was charged somewhere in upwards of one thousand dollars. Now, it took four to five calls for them to apply my unlimited offpeak to my account and about three month for them to credit me for their billing blunder. Nevertheless, the headache went away and I sat complacent. My contract ran out in June they told me they'd keep me at the same rate, even with promotion, as long as I had kept paying the extra ten dollars. I had it indepently confirmed with 3 different reps, got there names and badges and all. Well, come about a month ago, I receive a bill with my unlimited offpeak converted to one thousand minutes billed at 9.99, PLUS! 5.99 for 500 weekend minutes. But, that isn't the end of it. There was no warning notice, nor did I know when the change was. I only found out for it in december for the change that commenced in september. Why, do you ask this is? Well, because they couldn't get it together and bill me on a monthly basis, that's why. I had to wait 3-4-5 months to get a bill. Then they tried this accelarated billing where they send me one every 2 weeks. Little did I know they were in breach of contract by not billing me regularly, I only wish I did.

I don't want this to sound like a rant, but it is comforting to know I am not alone in this, seemingly, uphill battle. So, two weeks ago, I call to just give them a piece of my mind. The lady had the "balls" tp tell me that the only way she'd correct everything was if I signed up for a new contract. She then informed me that they just resell plans from other companies. I told het that I might as well get it directly from the source and not put up with their louzy billing and louzy customer service. But that isn't the end of it!!! My voicemail also went off countless times because of them and they also send me late charges even through they never billed me to begin with! Also!!! They also wouldn't applu my change of address after 10 tries to ask them to do so.

The moral of this story boys and girls, is that they need to get their act together and a nice class action lawsuit should be filed against them. I myself would be most interested in joining in on one.
