Ravenito Espinoza hired a friend of mine to work on a film that he submitted to the Cannes film Festival.in March of Ravenito told us that an Independent film distribution company was interested in the film, but he needed $1,500 for a new editing suite, music license and dvd duplication and packaging.
He offered me Producer credits and a six to 8 week tentative date for the Return on Investment. There was also a percentage of future sales in the contract.
In July, I started working on another film project with him, but realized after the first day that he was not as professional as I had been lead to believe.
In mid-July, I contacted him about the project I had invested in and was told there would be a "premiere" September 16. He also said he would be in touch about paying me back. I haven't heard from him since, he has not returned numerous phone calls or e-mails. Needless to say, there was no premiere on the 15th. At least not one this producer was invited to.
My friend who acted in the film also loaned money to Ravenito.
