The We Don't Care About Our Employees Company Terrible store management and rude un reliable "BOSSES" I quit because it was like being employed for satan him/herself

I was employed for Blockbuster in EwaBeach, HI, The store of poor customer service, high employee favoritism, and ratialism. On countless times I was put in positions where I needed to discuss the issue with the store manager... Kawika. One particular manager who had a terrible attitude, poor customer service, and quite frankly everthing she did was sub-par. I started working there and on the day of my interview I came prepared with my resume in hand... (which was very apparent the manager Kelly had never heard of.)

I have the management experience of three of the managers in the store put together, and was put as "the guy in the red apron" every time I worked with Kelly. I was written up one particular instance for a " no call no show" which never happened... And there were no grounds for the write up even if it did happen, its company policy to discuss the first issue, and a write up is one of the last options for the person of "authority" (which that store needs lessons in). The time of the supposed no call or show, I called in two hours before my shift to let the "manager" on duty know I was un-able to make my shift due to the Airforce, which I made clear to them the day of my interview came first, and was told " No Problem with that."

I spoke to the store manager of the problem, he said he would take care of the problem. About one week later I was reduced to working a total of 8 hours a week, and on the days I requested not to work, and those days weren't weekend days I requested either, they were weekdays. My big 8 hours per weeks went back up to hours worth me burning gas to get there only after I called the stores district manager. The hours got better a bit after he too" Took care of the issue" and so on, and as soon as I asked for more time on the clock, they hired a new guy over top of me, and immediately gave him priority over me. (racism?) I was the only guy in the store without hawaiian ties... And I'm military too, which only added fuel to the racism towards me. I put in my two weeks after that, and tell everyone I talk to that if you have a Hollywood Video or anything other than Blockbuster near you, give them your business, because I know first hand... If they treat their employees like trash...

They don't have a care in the world for their customers either. Where I trained for business " The Customer Is Always Right", so maybe Blockbuster needs to send their employees back to BOOT CAMP. Give your business to someone who cares, and won't charge you for something that is their responsibility to make sure isn't defective, or will treat all people properly. Its your own hard earned money that you spend give it to someone worth giving it to, and Blockbuster isn't worth the money you worked for.
