Our Manager at Riverwalk is constantly leaving work early. She comes to work for sometimes only an hour and then leaves to go home. Which leaves the person working with double the work, which isnt a problem. However, it has come to our attention that even though she is only working maybe 20 hours a week she is still getting paid for 40 hours, which is completely unfair since she gets to go home and is still getting paid.
Not only does she steal hours but she gives herself overtime which means that not only is she getting her normal pay but she is also getting time and a half. We are sooooo tired of this and do not know what to do. We have tried to inform our area manager about her before but since he is very close to her, he just showed her the letter we wrote to him and ended up finding a reason to fire one of the girls who wrote the letter instead of our MANAGER!!!
We have the log sheets that we have to sign in and out of each day. Since she is the manager she emails corporate at the end of our pay period our hours. However, the sign-in sheets stay at our location where no one looks at or pays attention too. Since she knows that corporate never picks up the sign-in sheets, she emails corporate a different number of hours than what is on the sign-in sheet, thinking we are stupid and will not realize what she is doing. We are able to read what she emails to corporate and that is how we know that she is stealing and its alot of hours that is being stolen. It comes out to an average of about $260 a pay period which is every 2 weeks.
So we have no idea if we should send our new anonymous letter that we have written to corporate or to HR? Or what to do? If someone could please help us we would greatly appreciate it. We are tired of working all day and picking up her half of the work, when she is home SLEEPING and STILL getting paid!
