Failure to supply at last moment after 3 months

I ordered tickets from Worldticketshop (at a very high price) in August for an Andre Rieu concert in Lille on 25th November. This was to be a special treat for myself and my wife. Because we heard nothing I chased Worldticketshop by telephone and was told the tickets would be sent 2-5 days before the concert.

On 23rd November (2 days before the concert and some 3 months after ordering the tickets) Worldticketshop e-mailed me to say they wold not be sending tickets. They said they would refund the money (which they still may do).

I had arranged time off work and we had booked travel from England to France and hotel reservation so I am financially significantly out of pocket by being let down by Worldticketshop. More distressing is not having the tickets for an event to which we had been looking forwards for months and being told at such a late date that the event was already sold out.
