I agree with Alboz. I recently had gone to see Lambros in his new 'office' (cubical). I found his ad off craigslist. There are many warning signs that went up in the interview. A sales pitch is number one!
'Your just what we are looking for... Yadda yadda yadda' Then he throws in the catch towards the middle of the speech, then confuses you with how its done.
Number one-ANYONE who wants YOU to spend money on photo's is just out there for your money no matter what promises they make you! Go out and find your own photographer, research and network with that. If you are talented they will find you.
If they are interested in you they will work with what you have also will pay for your photo's because they truely believe they can get you work. Agents or bookers look at why you would make money as well as flaws, so your interview should not always be great. Every girl that walked out before me was all smiles, thumbs up.
Second-Legit 'bookers' either want you to audition for them with a monolog or a piece that they want you to read. If its with modeling they want to see some credentcials. Which was not done during this interview.
Third-most companies are registered under bbb, check before going. They also will take 10-15% not 20%! 20% is extremely high for any place legit or not.
Fourth - This to me sounded like a 'escorting' gig because the idea of 'promo' work was pushed on me several times throughout the conversation although carefully spoken.
'would you mind wearing a bikini for a lesbian party, a little caressing but nothing you dont want to do, whatever you do after is your business, this is how our models make the good money' yah know sex sells. I was mortified! That was the icing on the cake!
Everything about this felt off. Also there was no website or testimonials to benefit the company, just his word.in this business words mean nothing, its what you produce.
I'm sorry you had to go through this.in my opinion I would stay away from this company until they can live up to thier word of mouth. I've never heard of them or people that have gotten work with them. Unfortunately this is a hugh problem in the industry.
Also be wiery when company's change thier names alittle to get out of a rep and move. This could be from legal issues. I hope by now you have found some closure with this company. If you have not interviewed with LK yet and researching this company before hand (smart) i would go in to the interview with this knowledge and dont let your head explode with stardum feelings. You will waste money as well as your time and dreams.
