I decided to use A Sunset Entertainment for my wedding because the website stated that the following would be included:
Our Bride and Groom Wedding Party Planner, Telephone consultations prior to the big day, Equipment setup prior to the event start time, A complete Stereo Sound System, Friendly and motivational DJ/MC to coordinate, emcee and play your choice of music, A wide variety of your choice of music, Essential mood lighting, Equipment take down and removal after the event ends, and Our commitent to excellence
What I got was the complete opposite! For starters, once I have paid for the services, the company or DJ never contacted me again, not even prior to my wedding. I had to call the DJ three times before I could get a call back, and this was after I had sent him several email that he never responded to.
The company provided me a 3 page sheet to fill out about my wedding to include the music and activities I wanted done - none of which were accomplished!
Then the day of the wedding, the DJ was late and did not arrive until 10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, resulting in the wedding not starting on time. He was off cue when he was supposed to start the music when I entered the ceremony. He did not announce for the maid of honor and best man to do their speeches, which resulted in them not being done.
He did not have the activities I had requested, even though I verified with him that he had everything he needed several times up unto the day of the wedding.
He did not have half of the music I requested, or rather, half of it did not work and he had no backup. He would randomly stop songs in the middle of them playing, even while everyone was dancing, and either restart them or just play a whole new song.
The music was too loud at times then muffled at others, more so during the important dances.
He did not have the correct music for the mother and son dance, which luckily my mother in law had her IPOD with her (with the song on it) so he could correct it, which of course took more time away from them enjoying themselves.
Worst of all, he ruined my (now) husbands and my first dance! Let me first say the song we were suppose to dance to was a very important one to the both of us. It truly described our relationship to a "T." Not only did the DJ know previously that the song we had chosen did not work, he first tried to turn it around and say that the song he played was the one I had requested!
Then, after literally arguing with me, he came clean and said the correct song would not play so he played a backup. About an hour later, he decided to redo our first dance, which we assumed meant he got the song to work, but he just played the same song over again. Why? Even we are still not sure.
Since the wedding, I have tried to contact the company regarding the crappy services I received and never go a response.
This company is unprofessional, has rude staff members, and lacks the necessary requirements to be provide "Exculsive Services" as their website so states. I will never recommend them to another person, and caution others to be more aware of the companies you select for important events in your life, such as a wedding.
