His Real Name Is Forrest L. Avery, But He Won't Likely Use That. Guy claims to be a producer, seeks funding, takes your money, and skips town Las Vegas Area, Phoenix Area, Los Angeles Area, New York City

Avery is a man in his mid 50's (about 5'4") who claims to be a executive producer/director/creator who seeks funding for a TV show that he claims is nearly complete. He is none of these things, and is not even listed in IMDB. He is bankrupt, cannot get credit from banks so relies on regular people to fund him or to do work for him for no pay now (but he promises to pay you in the future). He owes many people, thousands of dollars for the work they've done and/or for the money they've lent him. He has no intention of paying anyone back.

To impress you, he will show you a great looking 5 minute trailer which was funded by others who lent him money for this scheme. Since Avery has legitimately done some photography and video camera work, in the past with modeling agencies he'll show you portfolios of photos he's taken of various models and beauty pageants. These are all nice and they are legitimate work he has done, but he is not a television producer or director or creator, and these are meaningless. He will also drop names of big L.A. Film people that he supposedly has endorse his work. Who cares! If his work was any good he'd already be an established producer with the resources and funding of a major TV network already and would not need you to get his project off the ground.

Avery will claim that he is close to having the show produced and if you just help him by working for little or no money and/or lend money to him, he can get it done and pay you back with a big reward. He promises you that he'll pay you back when the show airs (it never will). Do not do fall into this trap! Don't work for him or lend him any money. He posts on craigslist, so if you see him there, RUN! Work for someone who is a legitimate, established, IMDB searchable producer instead.

He has no permanent address, is essentially homeless, and does not stay in any one place too long. The company I worked for tried to trace his phone and the phone he uses cannot be traced back to him. Don't get burned like I did!
