I got a call from a Stanley Denton on October 16th saying that I was approved for a 5,000 loan but since i didn't have perfect credit the insurance company need me to pay 910.00 to secure the loan. I borrowed the money from a family member and went to wal-mart and sent it through money gram to a LeAnne Stanford in Garden Hill MB, Canada where supposibly the insurance company was located and I called Mr. Denton back and gave him the reference he said he needed and he in sured me that the money would be in my acct by 3 pm the following day.
On October 17th Stanley Denton called me and said there was a problem and that the insurance company was requesting another 910.00 before they can secure the loan. So again I sent the money to LeAnne Stanford in Canada and called Stanley and told him I get it sent. Just like before he assured me that it's all taken care and it would be in my acct the next day before 3pm. I guess he took care of it for his good and not mine.
Guess what, he called me at 9am on October 18th the day I was supposed to get my loan and said he had worse news for me that the lender backed out of the deal and that the attorneys for cedarbrook lending would be calling me and taking action against my lender. He then went on saying that he did have another lender that was willing to work with me and get me a 10,000 dollar loan but he needed a extra 910.00 to secure the loan. I asked Stanley Denton if he was a scam artist and he got really mouthy and offended with me and I just told him that I wanted my full refund now and that i'm not playing their games. He told me that I'd have to wait untill November 24th to get my refund because that when their next billing cycle was. I knew then that I was screwed and got scammed. Which I didn't understand stand how it can take me over a month to get my money back but I got my money to them in 15 minutes.
I didn't hear anything from Cedarbrook lending or Stanley Denton for awhile, then he called me about a week in a half later saying that the lender he had for me decided to only have me pay on 500.00 dollars instead of 910.00 and I just told him i'm going with the refund and that's it. He them told me that he's going to send me an extra 1,300 dollars on top of the refund for going through this and having these problems. When he said that I knew I wasn't going to see anything coming back to me because why would anyone in the right mind just give out the kind of extra money for nothing if he didn't do anything wrong. I called Cedarbrook on October 17th to make sure that they had the right acct number to send me my refund and make sure i was still getting the amount he promised and thats when I learned that their 800 number was shut off and their website was working. I know it could have been alot worse after reading what other people have lost and are dealing with but everybody just needs to work together and help get these guys stopped and make them pay for what they did because I'm sure theres some people that lost property and them and their families won't even have a christmas but these jerks are sure going to enjoy every dime they took from everybody for their holidays. After dealing with this mess I'll never ever buy anything online or even try to apply for anything.
