I went to Mohegan Sun a few days ago and hoped to play some limit Texas Hold'em. When I arrived at the Casino, and I asked for the poker room, but was told that the poker room was under construction and would be ready in a couple of months. I was told that there was no Hold'em at the casino.
This is a ripoff for a few reasons: number one, their website goes to great lengths to describe their new PokerPro software for Hold 'em which does not exist. Nowhere does the website say "coming soon", etc.
Number two, Mohegan discusses in great detail Texas Hold'em tournament schedules, which simply do not exist. Three, nowhere on its website does it say that the building that poker will be hosted in is under construction.
Four, I called Mohegan ahead of time to ask about the wait times for Hold'em. I was told that on the weekdays there was usually no wait, and for weekends the wait for hold'em tables was around 15-20 minutes. All lies.
I called Mohegan Sun afterwards to tell them that their website was wrong, and I was told of a person who was in charge of their website but they said they couldn't give me her phone number.
This is America.in America, businesses are run by people who have phone numbers. Unbelievable.
Don't go to Mohegan. They are shady.
