Was told to check out the new Internet Site, bingoleague.com, to win a free trip the the Vanetian Hotel and casino.included a $1,000 buy-in to a bingo tournament, being held the 16th of November (had cancelled the tournament for because of 9-11).
Myself and six of my Bingo friends, all took turns staying up all night so we could all win a free trip to Las Vegas and play in a 4 million dollar bingo tournament, Guarenteed to pay out that amount.
We started trying to win this trip, September. After we all played all night and each won our trip, we were to receive a confirmation slip to fill out.
We were told this was to include our airfair, two nights room at the Vanetian, and a $1,000 Bingo buy-in for the bingo tournament. We all won, and a few of us received the confirmation slips, filled them out and sent them back, the rest of us never received the confirmation slips to fill out.
We contacted the Promotional Company from Canada, who was putting this on for the Vanetian, and they advised us that we would have to make our own traveling arrangements. We were also advised that those of us who had not received the confirmation slips, would be receiviving them very soon, and acknowledged they were on the winners list. That group apparently got relieved from their employment, so we lost contact with them.
We have sent numerous emails to a Jim heuston, and he advised us we would be hearing from them real soon, this was in June, as we wanted to know what travel arrangements we should make.
Eventually, a couple in our group went ahead and made their plane reservations. We were then told the date had been changed to the 26th of November, which is Thanksgiving weekend, and we were unable to make travel arrangements for that time period.
We contacted Mr. Heuston again, and he said not to make travel arrangements, and things were changing, that he would let us know. That was in July. We have sent numerous emails to him, and we have never heard back, so we don't know what changes were made.
Two weeks ago, I sent an email to the Vanetian, advising them that we were ripped off, that we had lost out on our trip we had won, and that they should be ashamed of the false advertising that has been done, and as of today, we have not had any response. We have 5 of us with no arrangements at all, and two of us with flight tickets, non-refundable, I might add, for the wrong dates.
