I had registered for a youth basketball tournament to be put on by "best of the best events" to be held in Chicago, Il on December 17-18. The cost of the tournament was $225.00.
On October, 26 I had downlaoded a registration form for this tournament from the best of the best website and faxed it back with the approriate rgistration information. To be consistent, I also called in on the toll free number and left my registration information on a voicemail. I had recieved an e-mail (which I didn't think to save) asking me to confirm which exact tournament (dates and locations) I was interested in (which I responded to).
Since I hadn't heard anymore, I called in on November 28th (this time getting a live person) to inquire about the tournament. I was told they hadn't recieved my registration and needed a check immediatly (which I then sent them with a new registration form). I was told I wasn't in danger of missing the December tournament.By December 12 I hadn't heard anything once again so I called the office. This time the original number I had was non working but I found a new number on the website and since I didn't get a live person, left a message indicating my concern. I also left an e-mail at a contact I found on their website. Still no response.
As time drew closer to the tournament, I found a local number on the website (517-541-0276) and left a message at this number as well. The weekend of December 17-18 came and went (I had no information-game times or locations) and I never heard anything about the tournament. Leading up to the tournament, on Friday, December 16 I called my bank and was told the check had been cashed. On December 19, I wrote a letter to the organization asking for a refund and confirmation that they recieved my request and still nothing. Please help.
