Scheduled a party for 06-08 back on 02-17. Paid deposit of $129.00 with a balance of $129.00 due the day of the party. Spoke with the 2 ladies who worked there on 02-17 and told them 25 children would attend and I wanted to order 5 14in cheese pizzas. Was also told I did not have to call and confirm the number of children 7 days before party since I made the reservations on 02-17.
Arrived day of party and the party area had been double-booked. I was told since I did not call 7 days prior to party I forfeited my party. I tried to explain that my contract was created in 02 and even showed copies of the contract and receipt for deposit.
Owner was called and I was told the only solution was to re-schedule the party for 06-09 or refund. The party scheduled the same day had precedence since they called 7 days prior. It did not matter that my party was scheduled on 02 and the 2nd party was scheduled in 04.
The person who originally scheduled my party had been terminated from the position due to numerous scheduling errors. The owner arrived and was very rude. I tried to explain the problem and was asked "are you finished now" and my husband was told not to join the conversation due to the fact that his name was not on the contract.
My husband tried to explain to the owner it was his credit card number and driver's license number used on the contract. The owner threatened to call the police. I decided at this point to have my money refunded due to the attitude and threats of police being called.
I asked for my contract back because it had my husbands credit card number and drivers license number on there. The owner refused to give me the contract back and crumpled the paper and told me we no longer had a contract. I would have liked to had the contract back due to personal information on there and not run the risk of identity theft. The owner said he would credit my account back. As of this writing that has not happened.
As I was waiting for the parents and children to arrive so I could explain the situation and I did not want the parents to receive the same rude behavior from the owner.
The owner came out and got into his vehicle and drove around the property and stalked us by waiting until I had notified all the invitees and we left.
I was very embarassed by the tone and attitude he used with me. I had to explain to my daughter and all her friends there was to be no party this evening and soothe crying children.
