I was looking to find a website where I could purchase a cartoon by the name of She-Ra which was popular back in the eighties. I came across this website and I thought it was heaven sent because it fit my means financially and it suited my purpose.
Well, I was definitely wrong. I not only purchased She-Ra, but X-Men as well. Now this website states that the material on the dvds were taking from old videos and films and that they are burned on to dvds, using dvd burners, etc. So I look at the website it looked legit and the credit card information and shipping information were under a secure code i.E. Verisign.
I entered my credit card info and it took me to a page where you have to decide if you want to join or just go to check out. Now, there is a situation though, if you go to join then they are suppose to send you email with confirmation of your order and a tracking number on your shipment so you can track your order at the UPS website. If you go straight to checkout you will not receive a confirmation email or a tracking number on your package.
So, I join the website and this was in April around the third weeek on a Sunday. The "thank you and you will receive a email confirmation shortly" message came up. I have not received that email confirmation or the message that arrives at your email when you join a site.
However, I did receive my bank statement and it showed me that the money was taken out of my account on the April 25. I was like ok well maybe they have to back order them. That was one week after my bank statement. Then I started getting worried, so I decided to sign in to the website and try to check the status of my order and the error message came up saying that my password/or email address is invalid.
Now, I am a fairly competent person and my memory is almost to be considered photogenic. So I went to the "forgot your password" link and sent them my email address and a familiar message came up "thank you, your password will be sent to you shortly".
My password never was sent to me. So clicked on the "contact us" put in my complaint about 5 times and never had an email sent to me. I invested $78.40 to their website. This unfortunate situation happened almost a month to go and believe it or not still no email, but my money is gone.
My advice for anyone out there is to make sure that the website has a phone number where they can be contacted, an address and a working email address where they can be contacted at as well as any alternative information they can provide. Also, make sure that they have a security lock or code where you can put your credit card number and feel safe and make sure that you are familiar with that security lock or code.
I hope that this information will help alot of you think about buying any dvds or products from this company or any other company as well.
