The purpose of my writing to you today is to alert you to a scam company, which is ripping off hundreds of innocent individuals of thousands of dollars. This web site needs to be removed from the web to protect other individuals. The web site is called: EXPOSWEST.com.
They say they are a Home and Garden show promoter. What they do is get hundreds of vendors to pay for their boot spaces, that range from 875 to 1800 dollars for a three day event in advance. Once all the money has been paid, they cancel the event, keeping all the money.in our case, they canceled the event the day before it was to open.
The event was in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. Please contact the Cow Palace if you need verification. The date of the event was Nov. 19-21. We have been trying to get our money back for sometime now with no success. They refuse to refund any money to anyone. They just stole tens of thousands of dollars.
This is not the only time they have done this. There was an event scheduled for this weekend in Fresno California, put just like the others they canceled. They give no notice to the vendors, so many drive long distance, show up at the event, only to find out it has been canceled and are refusing to refund any money to the vendors.
We have contacted all the show locations listed for 2005 season (go to www.exposwest.com). We talked with each locations managing director and asked if EXPOSWEST was scheduled. They all said the show had been canceled or no contract had be signed. Several managers stated they were aware of the fact that EXPOSWEST is a scam company, and refused to do business with them. Yet on their web site it is listed as if a show would be taking place. They also mentioned how sorry they were for all the vendors who got ripped off. So as long as the web site is up innocent vendors will be sending money to this scam company, and driving long distances to be ripped off once again.
