I had an appointment with Empire last saturday for an estimate for carpeting on my stairs and basement and it was the strangest experience. When the sales person arrived, he was so friendly and helpful. We looked at the products and he took measurments etc. He gave us the quote and the price was fine but I did want to do my homework and cehck one more supplier and we needed to so some repaires on our stairs before the carpet can go in. As soon as he realized we weren't ready to commit it because VERY uncomfortable. He wrote on the estimte I decline, made me initial and packed up. When I asked for the estimate in writing (so i know what I chose) for when I am ready, he said no that I would have to call back and do the entire estimate process again. He left upbroptly and was hostile. What kind of salesmenship is this? Sign now or never? Like I am going to call back and do this whole thing again? He didn't even leave a card. Crazy. We were scratching our heads for hours. Sorry Empire... Lost a customer.
