Multiple Listing Service - National assoc. of Realtors
Fraud

I am selling my home, it is in Lake county near the town of Fox Lake, it is a Lakefront. The address, for some reason, is McHenry. The MLS refuses to allow me to list my home as being in the nearest town which is Fox Lake which would allow people to find me when looking for lake. They list me in McHenry which is not only in McHenry county, but miles from any lake. When looking on a map, you would not believe that I am selling a lakefront. Worse, the listing suggests that McHenry taxes (which are much lower) and McHenry services such as police, fire and ambulance would service the area when the truth is that it's Lake county services.

The MLS people lied to my broker last week saying that my tax records show that I pay my taxes to McHenry county which is a lie, I pay and have always paid my taxes to Lake county all of which can be proven and is on record. The bottom line is that the MLS people have been fighting me on this for some time and are keeping people from finding me because I am shown on the wrong location. My case is not unique and I feel they are discriminating against me. I am 5 minutes from Fox Lake which shows up as being on Fox Lake, but 25 or more minutes from McHenry which is NOT on any lake and in a different county. I want the MLS to show my address as being in Fox Lake, if you Google map my address, it goes by the street number and name and no matter what town you put in it will show my correct listing. But if you look on a map as an outsider would do, you will never find me.
