I am an out of town landlord and had water damage to a villa due to irresponsible renters. ServPro of West Pasco was recommended. ServPro assessed the damage and shot a very short video. The damage did not appear to be too extensive. I informed ServPro of West Pasco to only remove the carpet, padding and dry the villa. Before any work authorization form was completed ServPro started the demolition work. I called the morning after I spoke with a representative and he stated that the demolition was already underway. This included removal of all carpet, padding, baseboard molding, along with the removal of every base cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms. They even stubbed all the plumbing down to almost nothing and removed the dishwasher supply line. It was as they removed as much cooper as they wanted to sell it on the cooper recycling market. ServPro of West Pasco did not provide any tangible evidence, as to their condition, of the damaged articles removed from the premises, such as pictures and actual samples. Before the demolition was started only a short video from a cell phone was sent. ServPro of West Pasco broke two large bathroom mirrors and tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms and reluctantly forgot to disclose this fact. ServPro gave me an estimate of $5,000 - $7,000 to perform the work. Don't you know it, the final bill was the upper end, $7,000. They also used the electric and the utility bill was an additional $300. ServPro removed the wet carpet and padding and failed to remove approximately 900 linear feet of rotted carpet tack strip. The work in which ServPro of West Pasco performed was definitely not worth the price they charged. It was very over inflated! Weeks after the work was performed ServPro sent a work authorization form to be completed. One month after that finally ServPro sent the bill.
