Countrywide Homeowners Insurance
Lack of full disclosure

On March 13 I obtained a notice from Countrywide Mortgage about my mortgage. I named customer support and also the problem was solved. At the conclusion of the phone call the client support broker questioned basically would really like a quotation on the website quality for homeowners insurance. I had been transferred to a realtor within the insurance department. Following a short meeting about the telephone I had been provided a which was about $100 significantly less than I had been spending at that time. The broker explained he'd go right ahead and begin my insurance that evening which I ought to contact my present insurer and stop my plan.

I received my new plan in of a week. About 10 times following this I obtained a termination notice from my new insurer. The reason behind my termination? Our home wasn't in adequate restore to move underwriting requirements.

I wasn't educated an expert would examine my home or that being coated was contingent with this examination. Therefore today I'll don't have any protection by May 4th and that I was handed no-chance to fix the issues. I can't return to my previous insurer until I-pass an underwriting evaluation and spend $300 more each year in rates.

After I named Countrywide and reported towards the broker that I'd not been educated there could be an examination of my home, the only real reaction I acquired was this "is just a regular process of insurance providers when giving an insurance policy". Their words suggested he could not realize why I didn't understand this. I responded used to do not promote insurance which it was just the second-time I'd bought homeowners insurance. He explained he was "sorry" but provided no aid. I'm like I had been tricked into taking this new plan without all of the info I had a need to create the best choice.
