Fannie Mae and PHH mortgage illegally sold my home while I was fully involved in a loan modification. I had made the three trial payments and the first payment of the new modification. I had all the paperwork signed, notarized and sent in weeks before it was due. They sent me new paperwork two days before the sale date, telling me I needed to cross my exes name off wherever it was listed and have it notarized again. I drove straight to the bank, did this, sent it back immediately. Called them to let them know it was done.
They sold my house anyhow, stating the paperwork came in a few hours too late.
Now, they refuse to give myself and my four kids 60 days to vacate the house. No lawyer will help at this point, stating there is nothing they can do once the house has sold.
Doesn't anyone hold these banks accountable for their actions. My house is awesome. I have put $50,000 worth of new floors, cabinets, fixtures and appliances into that house since I bought it. I paid for all that myself, and it is not included in the loan at all. I definitely feel like I am entitled to take that all with me when I go. I don't like to be negative, or do destructive things, but they have 0 respect for me or my family, and have treated me with no care at all. I have a great credit rating, and only fell behind a few payment because I was trying to pay for a divorce lawyer to keep my ex husband, who has a brain injury and is having mental issues, from hurting my kids. Good news is, my kids are 100% safe. Bad news it, they will lose their house. Good news... They have me for a Mom and will be just fine:). Still... Damn Fannie Mae and PHH for being allowed to treat people this way!
