Courage is a Single Mom program that is SUPPOSE to help single age moms that dont have any help in the area... WELL they first of all DONT DO ANYTHING! Maureen Shields USES the donations that they get TO GO ON VACATION! Because they ALWAYS get money donated and always towards the middle of the month there is NO FUNDS! WHICH SHE USES FOR HER VACATIONS...
They also "help" you try to get a apartment... Which is b.S. They say they help pay 100 to 200 of the rent okay... But the rent at the apartment is suppose to be 500 from the landlord i was told and they are charging MOMS THAT COME TO THEM FOR HELP 650 a month... Then every mom is living paycheck to paycheck becuz we give her all the money... Then they try to get you roommates and the poor roommate is paying the whole rent...
My friend was pregnant and she was put in the program too and they made her roommate with some1 and the rent was "suppose" to be 700 for a 2 bedroom apartment they were charging a pregnant girl who may i say was 7 months pregnant 595 a month which left the owner of the apartment to pay only 105!!!
Another thing Maureen is very racist... And many girls in the program know it. She doesnt like black and spanish people. Because one day i gave the number to the program to this african american girl to call for help and MAUREEN SHIELDS told her to "get a abortion, then we can see if we can help you" but then if a white girl calls oh shes treated like a princess.
And one day the landlord of a apartment called maureen to tell her that hes not happy with something MAUREEN tells one of the girls in the program "oh hes nothing but a " And OKAY the program is suppose to be only BE SINGLE MOMS! NO GUYS well lets see there are so many girls in the apartments that have thier boyfriends in it, and i do recall that there are about 5 married couples in the program... Who i may say are back rent for like 4 months but she gets away with it because shes white. BUT IF A BLACK OR SPANISH GIRL IS SHES OUT IN LIKE 6 DAYS!
