I have been living in California for quite some time. I obtained a renewal notice for both of my car many weeks before its expiration and I have always paid on time. For the first time this year, I did not get a renewal notice (due on 3/08), but instead I got a notice of delinquent renewal on 05/09. This was not an oversight on my side, as I truly did not get a renewal notice. I just found out that I am not alone, but that others may have had the same problem this year. This problem seems to be quite wide spread this year. This is absolutely dishonest. My guess is that the state ran out of money earlier this year and now they making up for the shortfall through penalty fees. If that turns out to be true than that is not only dishonest, then that is criminal.
Who can help me fight this injustice? It seems that there are only complaints in this forum but no resolution to the issue!
