Years ago my then 13 year old daughter realized that my now ex-husband had been secretly video taping her in her bedroom (she found the hidden camera). Even though I was in shock as she told me, she and I ran out of our house with my youngest child and went straight to the police. This was not as easy to do as most people would think. To make a long story short, My daughter and I have had quite a battle between cps and social services. My ex-husband is under social service's constant watch, and he is not allowed to see my younger child w/out supervision.
What upsets me after all of this, is that I continue to have court orders to protect my younger child (my other daughter is no longer a minor) and I am not allowed to move out the state or county. Social services is still required to visit my home every month and call me at work etc. I feel this is a huge infringement on my rights. I did nothing wrong. When I learned of my ex-husband sick secret activities, I immediately removed both children from the home and cut as much contact off between he and I as I possibly could.
Now I constantly receive court orders and notices from family court in the mail that is usually opened, social service workers contact me at work and tell my co-workers who they are! Just today I received a call that I have to stay home and wait for a social worker to come by and see my child and I! I am a law abiding citizen, I own a clean middle income home and provide very well for my child. I think the way I am being treated is completely unfair.
