H&R Block costs money and that its system runs amock with glitches is not only unexpected this is an alarm to disclose that a reputation is not something to trust.
This means, I have fairly simple taxes. The only change is that I moved from one state to another. I had two state tax returns. While I thought the return was excessive on one, I trusted H&R Block's online verification that nothing was amiss.
I filed. I paid H&R Block for the federal and the two separate state filings.
A week later, I decided to review what I had filed and I dug in to recalculate. This all happened well before April 15. Um, H&R Block were incredibly inaccurate (I owed a small amount). I filed a 1040-V with my payment. This happened in March.
The payment was accepted in March.
May 31, I rec'd the erroneous return (H&R Block's validated erroneous return) in my bank account.
