I was forced to pay for a different number after being assigned a number in a different area code, and the new number is still long-distance from my home. No one seems to care. I need an 863 area code number with a Highlands county prefix. The individual I finally got to talk to after one full hour of hassle with the automated system was absolutely no help at all, and did nothing but read from a script, repeating everything I said at least twice. He did not offer any real assistance, and didn't seem to know what he was doing. I finally gave up and accepted a Polk county number just to get off the phone with this idiot. It is still long distance from my home number, this is not acceptable.
