I had contacted the above company 1st. On June 11th. 2011 as I was due to apply for a pardon on Mar. 23rd. Or 4th. Due to a change in our gov't's policy they changed the waiting period from 5 years to ten years thru a bill C10 on March 10 or 11th. I contacted them asking for a refund which they advertise on their webpage. (federalpardons.ca)
I was told I didn't qualify for a refund, but they offered getting me a waiver from the Dept. Of Homeland Security for a reduced rate. I didn't accept at that time but on Nov. 1st. Of this year I sent an email to accept their offer, I paid $300.00 plus HST thru PayPAL. Last Week I sent 7 emails to [email protected], to carla @fereralpardons.ca & to [email protected]. I received no answer to my question" What is the average waiting time to hear if I qualify?" I then phoned 5/6 times in the last week and got a message their voicemail was full or I could press 0 and get a case manager, there was no one available so I left a message to call me at my home #, I was really getting pissed as no response so I left a rather nasty message implying they were a fly by night outfit and if I didn't get a response within 48 hours I would contact the R.C.M.P. PS - Nov. 1st was when I paid them thro PayPal for the waiver $300.00 plus HST and $ 70.00 for Digital fingerprints to a different company which sends them to these people to send onto the R.C.M.P. To verify my record.
