I would like to bring attention to the fact that Home Depot is discriminating against white Americans. My daughter applied for a job online at the Lake Park, FL store, and a couple of days later Carl, the store manager, called and said she didn't get it because she doesn't speak Spanish and is not Hispanic. To my knowledge, Home Depot is located in the United States of America, where English is the spoken language. She didn't even apply for a job in Miami, where there is a large Spanish-speaking community. Also, it wasn't a requirement on the application that she be Spanish-speaking or Hispanic, so this shouldn't be the reason not to hire her.
Home Depot is an equal lending opportunity company, which should stand out for white Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and all nationalities. I'm a firm believer in equal human rights for any race, ethnicity and religion.
Also, the first time the manager said she was not hired because she is not bilingual. That is not true, because she speaks English and Hungarian. Then he said she doesn't speak Spanish. We said to him that she needs to practice some, because she studied Spanish in high school. Then he said, but she needs to be fluent.
Be aware when you shop there what kind of company you are dealing with!
