I received a text message at 11:11 pm from (909) 973-8774 saying my entry last month has won, and that I should go to TargetContests.com and enter a winning code to claim a $1000 dollar gift card. Be careful, this is a scam. I almost fell for it, as I am an out of work TV writer and could use the cash to give my kid a good Christmas. Thankfully I looked it up on here first and discovered it was a scam. Don't know if they ask for money or just information because I didn't go beyond the site where you enter your "winning code", but be careful. DONT FALL FOR IT!
I checked out the website briefly. It has what appears to be a Target gift card, says "Win a $1000.00 gift card!" and has a space for you to enter your code with a 5:00 minute clock counting down next to it.
A few hours later, at 2:01am on 11/21 to be exact, I was woken up by my phone notifying me I had a new text message. When I checked the phone I found that I had received the exact same text message with an identical "winning code" from a different phone number - (909) 973-8712 this time. Be careful. If you receive a text from either of these numbers telling you that you won a $1000 gift card, don't fall for it. It is a scam.
My "winning code" was 84728 on both text messages. Not sure if they send out the same code to everyone, but I just thought I would put it up here for others to see.
