For 4 years I was a Direct TV client, and paying over $100 per month.included in my payment was a $6 per month "protection fee" for my DVR equipment.
When my DVR started making weird noises and literally waking me up at night because the drive (or fan) screams were so loud, I called to ask for a new DVR. They refused to do it. Their reasoning: the customer service rep DID NOT HEAR THE NOISE THAT THE DVR IS MAKING OVER THE PHONE.
When I cancelled by service, they shamelessly asked me to pay a disconnect fee of $100, because 19 months ago, I ADDED a DVR that I purchased on Craig's list to my service.
I have had bad service from companies before, but this one tops them all!!
