Currently I have my mail redirected from a PO Box at Summer Hill to my new PO Box 194 at Emu Plains. This has been since June this year. We collect mail from Emu Plains periodically and I must admit not enough. I received a phone call from the Postmaster at Emu Plains on Thursday 8 November. He rudely advised me he had mail for me sitting on the shelf at the PO and it had been there since July. I advised him I had been to the PO the week previously and went to the desk and asked for all my mail. The lady gave me my mail and a parcel. I was of the opinion that I had received all my mail and advised the Postmaster this. I was extremely upset and frustrated with the way he spoke to me and continually berated me on the phone even though I advised him about my trip to the PO. He mentioned he had left cards in the box to advise mail to be collected. Why didn't the postal worker give me my mail then I asked him. Obviously he isn't communicating with his staff.
Following this on Thursday, I went to the PO on Saturday to collect the mail he had mentioned. I wanted to just collect it and move out of the PO. But, not to be.in front of a large queue of people, this rude man again spoke angrily to me and embarrassed me in front of the waiting customers. This individual shouldn't be in a position where he is talking with the general public. He is rude, arrogant and dismissive of another person's point of view. I actually don't want to enter this PO again because of his bullying and I will take this further to the Post Office Ombudsman as this person threatened to close my PO box without my permission and I feel vulnerable and concerned about my mail, parcel deliveries and entering the PO again.
