Praxair was taken over by Apria Healthcare, and it has been a nightmare for the at least 18 months. Although we have three insurance coverages, Apria sent us an invoice in June for $1,700/28 for a Bi-Pap Machine, we had received in October. It had turned out, that the company never billed Medicare within one year, thus not being paid by MC. The invoice received also showed, that the equipment was received in March and giving them the benefit of the doubt, they changed the date in order to have us pay the bill. If we would have submitted this bill to MC and our other insurance companies, we possibly could have been involved in MC fraud. Due to duplicate payments by the insurance companies, Apria still owes us atg least $150.00.
