I recently set up services with this company on 10/24. The info on their website seemed simple enough. At least it seemed like an answer to my prayers as far as contacting my loved one who was recently incarcerated. It was all a BIG LIE!!! I paid for a month's service as well as additional charges/fees for same day activation and the one time set up fee, totalling $ 59.89. I also went to the website of the company they said they used as a provider for the jail, Infinity Networks. They told me that by going through this company, my phone bill would be cheaper for the collect calls. So, I set up another acct and placed an additional $ 30 into it for my family member. My gut feeling was telling me to research this first, but I was looking for a quick fix to get in touch with my family member. To make a long story short, there were several phone calls made back and forth to JCS as well as emails to get this "local" number that they claimed had been assigned and waiting to be activated. Of course this took longer than the promised time of "next day service." I finally got the number at least a week later, but to my suprise, I could not use it. When my family member tried to call me using this local number that had been provided to me, the call came through under the jail facility's phone carrier, NCIC. I was told by the rep that they were now the NEW carrier for Infinity Networks as of Friday, 11/2, and that I needed to contact JCS for a refund. They couldn't understand why I needed to set up another acct with a different phone number other than using my own.in addition to that, in order to receive that call from my family member, I had to pay an addional $ 25 plus fees to accept the call. I'm a single mother of two and just trying to make ends meet. I just wanted to be able to set up a phone acct so that I could talk with my family member periodically while they are away. This wasn't going to be a long term thing for me, as I'm on a budget. It's unfortunate that companies such as this prey on individuals in need. I hope justice is served one way or the other. Beware of JCS Services!!!
