Avoid this ripoff store! I purchased a $1800.00 carved whale from the museum store and paid approx $200.00 extra to have it safely shipped to me. UPS delivered it to me with a broken tail and fracture in the body. THe museum store refuses to help me, although initially they said they would. A week after no action was taken, the museum store changed their tune and told me they would do nothing to help me or to arrange any compensation for my damages. THe museum store is friends with the manager of the local UPS store, and I think they are in cohoots to make sure I do not get reimbursed, because the UPS store will not take my telephone calls either, or they hang up on me when I call. Can you believe a tourist driven economy would treat a high ticket customer this way?
