On Aug. 24,2011 my mother place an the an order for the Bassett Baby 3-in-1 Cape Cod crib to be delivered to me. This item was specifically selected because it showed a delivery date of Sept. 1,2011. Subsequently, we have received 2 emails indicating that the ship date was delayed. Having had a previous experience in trying to order a crib from two years ago where in I received "Item Delayed" emails for a crib and was only later advised that the item "was no longer available", I called into the customer service department to confirm if the item was indeed delayed per the emails received or whether like my previous experience the item was actually "unavailable". I called the 1-800 number and was put in a hold que for 25 minutes. I finally spoke to someone who told me that they couldn't provide me with the shipping/availability information and would have to transfer me to a specialist. I waited another 45 minutes to speak to a specialist. When I finally got on the phone with the specialist he could provide me no information because the "system was down". I was asked to call in later once was up again.

I called in again later in the evening and was again on hold until I finally got to another specialist who said that it appears the that contrary to the emails received from the company that the item was not "delayed" but "unavailable".

As you can understand this situation has been nothing but frustrating. It is important that my crib arrives before the baby and receiving incorrect information on its availability is not acceptable.
This is the second time this has happened trying to order a crib through each situation, there was no assistance provided in finding an alternative product.indeed, the customer service individuals couldn't even tell what similar items might replace the one I ordered that would be available for immediate delivery.

I can't not convey my disappointment in's failure to provide its customers with accurate information regarding an order and its customer service department's inability to assist in any meaningful way to correct the situation.

Sadly, I will be advising all of my friends to avoid ordering from the website. Target used to be know for its superior customer service unfortunately that appears to no longer be the case. I will be directing my future orders to more reliable sources.
