I purchased a living social deal for Vela Smooth treatments. I called to make an appointment and scheduled a time that would be convenient for myself since i lived nearly an hour away. Once i was near the location, the address that was given was not located as the advertisement read. I called the location and the women that i spoke with who happened to be the owner, operator, receptionist etc. Proceeded to tell me that i did not have an appointment. I assured her that in fact my appointment was for the specified time that we agreed upon. Her story then changed to say that she wasnt feeling well and had the flu. Understandable. However, she went on to tell me that she tried to call me the previous day to alert me to the fact that the appointment would be canceled. Never happened. While on the phone with the business owner, a baby was trying to talk in the phone. Obviously, i was very annoyed to have made an hour trip to the "so-called" appointment. It seems like the business the woman is running out of her home. A child was babbling into the phone and there was no one else there who was taking clients. It all seemed very shady to me. I did report this to living social and they took notes as to my experience. I would proceed with caution if doing business with Nicole. I believe these machines are to be used under the advising of a medical doctor although able to be performed by a medical aesthetician. I would not recommend using South Beach Skin Clinic if you are looking for a professional, well managed business. Im not sure whats going on there but it doesnt seem safe!
