On Friday 10/12 I reserved a 10 foot moving truck from Budget truck rental for the next day (Saturday 10/13). When I arrived at my appointment time, the worker told me that the truck I reserved could not be rented because the check engine light was on. Two days later I check my bank account with First Financial and my card had been charged $50 for a no show fee. Very frustrated, I called their customer service and was told to call back the next day because the person on phone could not handle the matter. Then I called back the next day (Tuesday 10/16) and explained to the person on the phone the problem and he told me that he could not issue a refund because they had not received a payment yet. But it had been taken out of my bank account. I told him that and he said there was nothing he could do and for me to call back in a few days. So I have been stressing out over their mistake. We just moved and funds are tight right now. We had to pay UHaul the same day for a truck because Budget could not provide one so we were charged for that as well. A $40 move turned into a $93 move. I don't understand why I was charged in the first place for their mistake. I had to spend the gas money to get there and to get home and go through renting with a different company.
