I went into 7-Eleven to purchase a pack of cigarettes. I decided to buy a pack of Maverick Light 100's, because there was a plastic strip reading Maverick followed by $3.85 per pack, located directly under them.
The employee scanned the cigarettes and told me "That'll be $4.30." The total puzzled me, as I handed him a $20 I started to question the clerk, he blurted out $3.99, they $3.99 plus tax. I replied according to the advertised price clearly posted, they are $3.85 pp tax. He looked at the price posted, looked at me, made a half turn, took couple steps towards the product, leaned over and ripped the strip off the shelf, while doing this he said "$3.99, this price no good." And that was that, I was charged more than posted price.
I paid only. 14 more, my complaint is about the principle and false advertising at the consumers expense having the cocky nearly rude attitude for the wrong doing, didn't help the matter.
