Terrible service received - Internet service provide

I have been a customer of HughesNet for 16 months. After two months I wanted to cancel. Over the 16 months I was a customer I had called constantly because the service did not work for me, I would call HN and be on the phone for at least an hour every time, doing all the things they asked etc. Etc. The service never worked well for me, it was actually slower than the dial up provider I used before I got HN. I have never broken a contract in my life, but as a person who needs to work from home and submit loan applications and other important documents for my clients it was unbearable. I sometime took my laptop to McDonalds or a coffee shop to work because I was under the gun for submitting some info. I called and called, begged and begged and finally just cancelled the service. Now I am receiving calls that are telling me to call them "to discuss important issues" but they just give the general customer service number without a department to call. Surprisingly this caller is an American man with a very commanding voice, not the normal voices associated with their customer service. I will say the customer service personnel at HN have always been very polite, and quite nice, they just talked in circles and gave no real answers to my problem... Usually telling me "must be bad weather somewhere" (NO), poor non working computer (NO), old computer needs repair (NO), blah, blah, blah. My biggest complaint is the time spent on the phone with customer service (truly hours at a time) getting no answers, and having to call back again and again to get the same result. So very frustrating. I cancelled my service and have had EXCEED installed and I was stunned, my older computers are running at top speed and I am able to enjoy using my computer, and work from home!!! I almost forgot, I can watch TV, download photos at the speed of sound (not really but fast), and enjoy You Tube... Which I had never been able to do. They charged me $175 for cancelling, and I am very unhappy about that... I called this morning after receiving an "Important business call" from them, and waited on hold for 15 minutes and hung up... Never again will I hold for them. This is after I called them at 2:00 am this morning to ask them to send the box and labels so I could return their crap, and told them I had received the bill that they want me to pay. The young woman I spoke with was not quite as nice as most of the others, but then I guess I was not their customer so she did not have to be. I am oh so done with them, thankfully. Hughes Net is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
