I was contacted via email and phone by Simone Harris of this company who stated that I had been approved for a $10,000 loan through an online matching service. I researched the company online, called the building they are located in, searched phone numbers, did scam searches on the Better Business Bureau website, Federal Trade Commission and more. They seemed legit, especially when I received my loan documents. I was asked to purchase loan insurance in the amount of $750 to prove to the lender that I was good for the loan. I questioned them about this and then sent the money. Ms. Harris is very convincing and seemed so honest.
Needless to say, I have not received the money into my account. She initially answered a few phone calls from me with promises to "check into it" but now noone will answer the phone or respond to emails.
I have contacted the White Plains police dept who say that since it is a civil matter they can not do anything. I will be contacting the FTC, BBB, Attorney General for New York, and anyone else I can think of.
I need my money back!
