Ripoff, I called and cancelled the package, still had money deducted from bank account

I was originally contacted by phone to sign up for what I thought was a Mastercard. They were going to deduct $299.95 from my bank account which they said would be reimbursed when I received my card. The more I thought about it, I felt like something wasn't right. I contacted the company to ask more questions. I found out that the money was to purchase a membership package and the credit card being offered was for a secured card. Since that isn't what I wanted, I asked if I could cancel it. The woman I spoke to said yes, no problem. I stressed the fact that I wanted to cancel everything, I did not want any money coming out of my bank account. She assured me there wouldn't be, that the membership was cancelled.

Then on the date that was originally given for the money to be deducted, there was a withdrawal from my account. When I contacted Premium Advantage again to ask why I was being charged after I had already cancelled, they said it was for TracGuard, a road service, which I had told them initially I did not want, because I already had road service. They said I didn't cancel ther service within 15 days and that's why I was charged. I told them that I did cancel, I cancelled the whole package, it was within the 15 days, and then I was told I had to contact TracGuard directly. Nothing ever was mentioned to me on either of the 2 phone calls with Premium Advantage, that I had to do that. I never received anything from this TracGuard showing that I was member or anything about their services. I feel that I was ripped off. When I tried to contact them to get my money back, they told me I had to submit something in writing. I have since gone to my bank and informed them that this deduction was not authorized by me and they are going to try to get my money back.
