Nespresso Delonghi Coffe Machine

Had a new Nespresso Delonghi on my birhday from my brother and sister last June,
I can just manage half a cup at a time and its cold, is that common? Even got to put it in the microwave.
I cant thank my brother and sister, for the gift. Please can you advise me what can i do.
