Date of occurrence was 29th of August.
I have had three iPhones from Apple, this is currently my third one. Out of the three iPhones, the first and the third have been faulty.
I find that my phone frequently loses reception and enters SOS mode inside my house and is unable to regain it regardless of where I am (in areas that I know have reception) unless I turn the phone off and back on again. No other phones (iPhone or otherwise) have done this inside my house except this one.
I returned to Apple in an attempt to resolve the issue but was bounced back due to being 9 days out of warrantee. (The warrantee was valid until 20/08)
I work in the medical industry where it is important that I have reception and due to the same reason, I was unable to bring my phone to Apple for a period of time because I needed to reset my phone whenever I noticed that it had entered SOS mode and refused to go back.
The apple store staff were immensely unhelpful and unsympathetic of the situation when I did bring the phone in - wanting me to pay 180 dollars for a replacement for a phone which was not broken due to my fault. I explained that I had difficulties in bringing the phone back in a state where it is in SOS mode due to my line of work, but that fell to deaf ears to the genius bar staff as well as management.
I feel that I have been treated unfairly by apple due to the fact that I have had paid good money for my iPhone and that two faulty iPhones out of the three that I have owned is a disgraceful record for poor products.
