I purchased an ITunes gift card for the amount of $25.00 at Staples in Miami, Florida. I lost the card before I ever made it home. I spent on hour on the internet and over 45 min on the phone with several apple representatives, only to be told in the end that there is "nothing they can do for me" even though I have the receipt. Every other company (Visa, AmEx, Staples, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) check the receipt to make sure the card hasn't been used, cancel the card and reissue another. This Apple policy is outrageous and unacceptable. AND when I made my purchase at Staples, I was assured by the Staples Orlando store manager that if I lost my ITunes card, it would easily be replaced by Itunes. That's not true. It is irresponsible to give incorrect information like that to your consumer. Staples refused to help as well, which means they are selling a product that they don't stand behind and "can't do anything" to help if their own customer is swindled.
