Scentura Creations Dba Imperial Dazzler Design dishonest, rip-off!

I have been looking for a job for 2 months. Every Sunday I see an ad in the paper which looked suspicious to me, but this week I decided to respond.

When I called, I spoke to Carlos. Carlos said I would need to come in for an interview that very day. (which made the business seem less credible) Then, I asked exactly what they do. Carlos's response?"Management." Thanks, I saw that in the paper, but what is it your company does, that there is to manage? He said, "It's a design company based out of Atlanta." Grudgingly he gave me the name of the business - Imperial Dazzler Design. He told me to come in the next day wearing business casual and to bring a pen. He never asked for a resume or references. He still at this point had no idea who I was.

Once I hung up, I thought, "this does not seem like a credible business." So, I looked them up on the web and in the phone book. I did not find anything until I looked on the Usa Consumer Complaints.com. I saw that they sell perfumes across the country. This is not at all what I was looking for. I did not want to peddle in shops selling fake perfumes, especially when Carlos did not want to tell me what the business did.

So, I called back to ask Carlos directly. I asked him if they sold perfumes and he said, "why?" I told him that I wanted to cancel my interview and he just tried to make light of it - asking why repeatedly. I said - I am a graduate of XYZ University and that is not what I would like to do with my life, so I would rather not waste yours or my time tomorrow. Carlos hung up on me. I guess he wasn't used to being confronted before an interview.

I wrote this just so you can know how professional this company is. I did not want to waste my time, because I know I don't want to sell off-brand perfumes door-to-door. If they were proud and confident of what they are doing, they would have no problem explaining it to potential employees.
