I recently read everyone elses reports about this scentura creations buisness. I thought at first that I has found and Ideal job. I found the job through an ad in the chicago tribune sunday edition. The title was for admin. Assistance postions/manager positions earning 30k-40k. No experience.
Fresh out of school with the job hunting being difficult, I was thrilled when I called and I had an interview the next day. When I entered the office, It was packed with young people and some older buisness looking professionals. Some people that were there for an interview were dressed as if there were there to hang out not for and interview. The way that most of the young people spoke was not buisness appropriate, but off the streets!
In come two young early twenty somethings who where the mangers or owners of the offices. The interviews were conducted by groups of three's. The questions were directed to us as almost as if were were answering questions in a class room not for an interview. The Manager then proceded to tell us she chose to work for herself verses getting a job at a pharmacy with her bachelors degree. On it went about her and her partners income. They said to call later to see if we were "chosen" for a second interview. Its important to note that they never really talked about the actually company and what they did. When someone else in the interview asked they gave a vague summary about managing a wholesale company.
The second interview took place, by this time we are still in a group setting. They talked a little more about the company but did say that the managers will be in charge of distributors. They made it a point to say they do not go door to door. They said the group if anyone wanted to go then they can leave now. Most of the people stood because they did not know what it was there will be doing. As other people have said before me they make you memorize the colors of boxes for these perfumes and make a game out of who can sell the most, for fun. Not knowing you will have to be doing this in the streets for who knows how long!
They brag about the oils in the perfume and how you can see how thick it is which means that is 100% imported from france like the other designer perfumes for less the price.
After I stupidly sold these products to my family and friends who said that it was generic, I brought it to the owners attention who of course made it seem like they didn't know what they were talking about. After these lies I had to tell my friends and family and the fact that you do not get paid even after 2 weeks of running the streets selling, I saw them finally for who they were and said I want out. Of course they made it seem like I was crazy in front of the group but I said " I refuse to continue to lie to my friends and tell them this products is great when in fact I know it sucks, bye" The end to those horrible, dreadful two weeks. A waste of time get out while you can!!! It is such a rip off!
