Hello, I'am currently unemployed and have been umemployed since July 18. I purchased disability insurance with this compamy. However, they told me I had a 30 elmination period in order to collect my benefits. Once my 30 days was up, I contacted them to find out when will I receive payment, and at first they told me not until September 5. I notified Pat at 866-424-1944 who works for the company in which she notified VP to get me some money A.S.A.P. Unfortunately, not only did they say they don't back pay money, they turned around and stated that I owed premiums since January which they deducted out of only given me a total amount of $778 out of $1800 and deducted $321 to cover back premiums. I never receive notice nor did my employer receive notice that the premiums were behind, so why should I have to take responsibiliy for their wrongdoing. Allstate submit the bills to my employer to pay my premiums at my request through Payroll deduction. I'am requesting a full refund and also they need to change their policies on how they pay a customer for a sevice that I paid for. Allstate made me aware of this after I filed my claim to collect disability benefits on August 20. Connie who works in the Premium department can be reached at 866-541-5794 NYS office.
