In her first letter to me she stated that I, along with 6 other people have a "mediumistic indifference and an aura friction" that she could eliminate permanently and for all time.
In her first letter she states and I quote: So that this is also quite clear from the beginning - my work is always absolutely free of charge. You will have to pay me nothing, absolutely nothing at all. Not today, not tomorrow and not at any other time either. I live well and am supported by voluntary donations from rich people, so that I can help you without having to demand even so much as a single cent from you." End of quote. So I agreed to her help with the understanding that it was free of charge.
In her second letter to me she stated that she had fixed my problem but that something had gone wrong and she had to fly to Germany and buy some stuff for a seance and that I had to help pay her expenses.
I sent her a letter on June 24 stating that I was not liable to pay her for unrequested services under the Consumer Protection Act and that she was breaking the law.
Since then she has sent me 4 more letters demanding payment. Each letter has asked for more money and has become more threatening and the last two letters she has threatened to send my account to a collection agency.
I did not ask her to fly to Germany nor did I agree to pay for any expenses as she had stated in her first letter that she would not ask me for any money ever.
Under the Consumer Protection Act, I am not liable to pay for services that I did not ask for so I have not paid her. She is actually violating the CPA by asking me for money.
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Mid-Western & Central Ontario on July 30. So far, I have not heard back from them.
