On Aug. 17 I stepped out of a restaurant at the Glisan St. Center only to find my car hooked to a Retriever tow truck. I am a senior citizen, have handicap tag which was displayed, and parked next to the handicapped designated parking space as the handicapped space was already taken.
This is a spot that I am familiar with, visit often. This occurred at 1:20 P.M., well after the lunch hour and on the short side of the lot with only one car, besides mine, parked. The ticket was for overtime parking.
I was blocking no one, was a customer of the restaurant at Glisan Center. The ticket was marked "towing fee." but no towing occurred. The driver was a "know it all", king of the parking lot type, who enjoyed ripping off a handicapped senior. I am outraged.
