I have long been a fan of Levi's for their quality and affordability. I have bought almost exclusively Levi's in the past, and have never been disappointed before. When I first saw the Levi's 511 5 pocket Commuter Jean, I was really impressed. Not only was this the first time I had seen nice jeans designed for the everyday biker, but the cut was perfect for a professional work environment. They were a little pricier than what I usually spend on jeans, but because the product came from Levi's, I trusted that I wouldn't be disappointed. And I wasn't, at least not at first. After only two months of wearing them, however, I noticed that the fabric of the seat of the pants has almost worn completely through! This low level of durability is far from what I would expect from high end jeans marketed towards bike commuters, and even further from what I have come to expect as the Levi's standard. I am hoping that this is a manufacturing error, and I would need this pair of jeans to be replaced for my confidence to be restored in the Levi's brand. I hope to hear from someone soon.
